Name: T'ik
Alias: Tairik
Gender: Female (Thinks she's male)
Age: 15 turns
Season: Spring
Sexuality: - To be announced
Rank: Candidate
Hair: Red
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 115 lbs
Description:
Talo is a dwarf in comparison to any male her age. Her body is almost frail and delicate. Yes, this is quite unusual for an active male. But probably almost common for a female such as herself. Her complexion is fair, but almost pale. Which would make others question if she even ventured outside often.
But while her bangs remain long enough to cover her orbs (her bangs are pushed behind her ears to prevent this), the rest of her hair is cut short.
The attire she wears consists of large linen long sleeved shirts and vest. She's also fond of shorts and laced sandals. The girl has also become aware of her obvious deformity (breasts) and to hide these, she bandages them regularly.
To those who don't know Talo, she's nothing more then a young boy who should exercise more. However, to the observant eye, it will be notice that something is slightly amiss. However, her male mannerisms divert those who tire of chase easily.
History:
Once upon a time, there had been a woman. But this wasn't your average woman. She was a dragonrider; a green rider to be precise. And her career was no different than any other rider: she trained and she protected when the need rose.
However, this woman never had much opportunity to even train. During one of her sessions, this woman's dragon was killed. Of course, after the bond of a dragon was broken, its rider would be compelled to commit suicide. But the woman didn't want this. Or rather, she retained enough sanity to not have done so.
Instead the woman returned to her home weyr and eventually married. And then came the birth of Talo. And the girl's life was pretty ordinary. She played, she did mischievous things-which led to being disciplined and she helped around the home when required.
The girl nor her father had any whereabouts of the woman's past. And she would have preferred it so. After all, her only reason for marrying and conceiving was to forget the death of her beloved dragon. But even this happiness was short lived; the woman lost her mind when one flu season had stole her husband away from her.
This life changing occurrence happened when Talo was only five turns. The young girl was strikingly identical to her late father. The woman would often call the girl by her father's name. She would also dress Talo in boy's attire. So, she grew up believing she was a male.
Of course, this didn't deter the girl's happiness. She lived just as she had before her father's death. At the age of 13 turns, he was nothing more than a vague memory. As for her name, she had accepted her father's name willing. However, she knew that this name was a false one. But it had been so long since her real name was acknowledged she had even forgotten that.
She could forgive her mother for that. She was a sick woman, after all. But what she couldn't forgive was when her mother tried to bed her one night. The girl cried in refusal, forcing her mother away from her. The three days that followed was very awkward and the two never spoke. When Talo had returned home the fourth day, she found her mother bathed in her own blood.
Talo left her home after that, wandering the lands idly. But a brown dragonrider had came across her at the right moment. He asked of her home and her family. But the girl was too starved and tired to give coherent answers. Had the man's dragon been blue, he could have searched her then. But because this was not possible, he had decided to return her with him to Ista Weyr. Even if the girl was incapable of impressing a dragon, the brown dragonrider wouldn't have left the child to die. So, the day Talo met this rider was the day a new chapter in her life began.
Personality:
To the average person, Talo is seen as a sprite, one that has no care in the world. It's easy for her to laugh at herself and joke with others about taboo subjects. She has a heart that can trust easily and take much pain. Most see her as childish, while others find her very polite for a child in this day and age. But as stated initially, that is what the average person sees.
In truth, Talo does not know who she truly is. She is like a chameleon that molds herself to the expectancy of others. She claims not to care of what people think of her, yet constantly finds herself creating a new character for each person she meets. She often finds herself contradicting for she no longer knows what her true morals are. Her original morals and that of her other
"characters" have clashed and molded into something she cannot explain.
However, Talo is sure she is a loyal friend. She's willing to do anything for the ones she cares for. she will try anything to spill optimism into her loved ones even to the point of pure exhaustion. Funny that she finds herself doing this; Talo doesn't even know if she's a negative or positive person.

For Riders:
Dragon name: Aenarith
Dragon color: Turquoise
Dragon age: Hatchling
Hatching season: Summer
Color code: 66DDBB
Dragon description:
Blue and green, shouldn't be seen. This dragon never heard that axiom, for deep blue mingles and swirls with light spring green. On it, somehow, it works. If it were a blue, it would be small, if a green, large, falling in the overlap between the two colors. Slightly short, pointed wings show agility and indeed, this dragon can turn in the air.
For most of the hide, the two colors swirl together, and sometimes it may seem more green from some directions, more blue from others. Green, though, predominates on the neck and wingshoulders, blue on the flanks and underside of the tail. Across the back, the swirling becomes so tight as to merge into one turquoise shade.
Dragon personality:
It's a boy. No, it's a girl. Turquoise dragons carry both in one body and that, perhaps, is why Aenarith chose a rider who is much the same way. Neither male nor female, neither chasing nor rising, Aenarith thus holds itself apart. Its gender is fluid, for the most part, its mind voice is male, but when its rider becomes insecure it can rise into the female ranges. Sometimes, too, it seems to reflect the gender of the one speaking to it.
Perhaps because it is above certain distractions, Aenarith carries a strength that is more than green or blue. Nothing fazes this dragon, nothing scares it, and it will back down from nothing short of the full force of a queen...and perhaps not even then. Fortunately, it places a high value on duty and will always do what is required...this is a dragon that can be absolutely relied on.
Aenarith is not outgoing, not on the surface, but no dragon could have a more loyal and caring friend. Although it does not flirt, it gives heartfelt compliments to anyone...dragon or even human...who might be feeling down.
