Name: T'ron
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Season: Summer
Sexuality: Hetero
Rank: Brownrider
Hair: Rich Chocolate Brown
Eyes: Very light brown, almost tan, with flecks of gold
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 200 lbs
Description: T'ron is slightly taller than the average fellow, and appears fairly slender for the height, as well. He is not actually as slender as he looks … he just doesn't have the 'wall' appearance, as his shoulders didn't get wider to match his height. His shoulders are well rounded out with muscle, from years of working with his dragon, caring for his dragon, and working with sacks of firestone. His arms are similarly muscled, but not overly, just like the rest of his body. On a shorter man, he would appear muscular, true, but on T'ron it just appears trim. T'ron is a very fit man, in the prime of his youth. He tends to wear earth tones such as muted browns and greys, on occasion he will turn up in a 'natural' (off white) shirt, when not dressed in his flight gear.
His face is long, but not necessarily narrow. He has an average nose for his face, and sparkling light brown eyes that glint with bits of gold. He is one of those who can grow facial hair, and he does allow it to grow out. But only to a short length. If it gets more than two inches long, he trims it back to about an inch in length. His moustache he only allows to grow to the edge of his lip, never longer. His hair and his beard match in color, though he does allow his hair to grow longer. The slightly wavy, rich chocolaty locks reach his shoulders when it's not tied into a runner tail. He normally keeps it tied, as it gets tangled so easily if it's not restrained.
History: T'ron was born a weyrbrat in Fort Weyr, and filled the role to a T. His mother was a cook, and his father was one of the few men in the weyr that was not a rider. He spent equal amounts between mother, father, and the crèche, T'ron's parents were not a couple, but they did take equal parts in raising the lad, who more often than not was finding something mischievous to get into. He was the bane of the crèche mother, who was frequently to the point of pulling her hair out over just trying to keep track of him, much less figure out which pranks he was responsible for. There didn't seem to be a lock or a door that could stop the boy, as he regularly found a way out anyway.
Though born in a weyr and raised there, no one ever showed interest in asking the lad to stand … and it never occurred to him to ask, either. He was having way to much fun being a weyrbrat to ever dream of being a rider. It seemed he was slated to become just another weyrbody, just like his parents.
When he was fifteen, however, he accompanied his father to Fort Hold on an errand – the trip was a real treat, as the lad almost never left the weyr, and he was quite eager to see what the rest of the world held, outside of weyrlife. It was a shock to him, to see the difference between hold life and weyrlife. There were completely different mannerisms, different customs, and totally different habits! The people were fascinating to him.
But while sitting in the wagon, watching the oxen for his father, a blue rider from Ista Weyr arrived at the hold. The rider went into the hold proper with what looked like a scroll, and emerged again without it … T'ron assumed that it was just a courier service being done at the time. But the dragon refused to leave the area without taking the lad with them. His father was slightly disappointed to see his son spirited away like that, but was also proud to know that T'ron was being given the chance to become an esteemed rider. He sternly instructed him to behave himself, before watching with tears of pride as his boy vanished a-dragonback.
T'ron stood at Ista weyr for another year, before finally impressing to a brown dragon. The people there at Ista were relieved that he had finally impressed … because old habits were hard to break, and he was just as playfully troublesome there as he had been at Fort. But once impressed to a dragon, his time was too full with just taking care of the young growing dragon to have enough time to do anything else. He just fell tiredly into his bed each night, and the Weyr knew a measure of peace.
By the time weyrlinghood was over, T'ron's overly mischievous streak had been more or less tamed, and he hasn't been nearly the problem that he used to be … that and now he has some honor to uphold. He is a rider now, after all! Though still playfully oriented, for a young man, he isn't a mischievous prankster anymore.
Personality: T'ron can alternately be a happy-go-lucky, and a serious get-things-done person. What face he shows the world totally depends on circumstances. Since Impressing Sebeth, he has developed a sense of responsibility, and knows when it is time to put fun and games aside and set the nose to the grindstone. But when things are relaxed, so is he. He loves to drink wine, but he has never yet taken it so far as to actually get drunk on the stuff. After a glass of wine, he is more liable to start singing, however. He has a nice, deep voice for it, and can carry a note really well … but he generally will not sing.
He really enjoys having the attention of a pretty lass or two, and will completely dote on whoever is the gem of his eye at the moment, should he happen to be lucky enough to get her attention. T'ron is not overly loyal so far as partners go, however, as he hasn't found anyone who really takes his heart. When the current lass leaves … oh well. Time to find another to dote on.
T'ron takes acts of violence seriously, and does not let them slide by unnoticed. If it is in his power to do something about it, he most certainly will. While he has once been a prankster, he knows the difference between a harmless prank, and outright maliciousness, the later of which he has zero tolerance for.
Pets: a creamy-tan Brown flitter named Imp, who is a rather lazy sort when not pilfering shiny items away to dark corners.
A white Feltar female named 'Silver Cloud'.
For Riders:
Dragon name: Sebeth
Dragon color: Brown
Dragon age: 8
Hatching season: Summer
Dragon description: Sebeth is a chunky, beefy dragon with a lot of muscle rippling around under his hide. He almost looks like a draconic version of a working ox. His neck appears shorter than it should, due to this beefiness, as does his tail, as both appendages are just as thickly muscled as the rest of his body. His hide is a shiny acorn brown color, and he has some darker brown faint striping going on, on his hind legs and the topsides of his wings. Only when he is freshly washed and oiled are these markings visible … otherwise he just looks plain brown.
Dragon personality: Sebeth is a rather subdued dragon … he doesn't tend to speak up very often, and rarely if ever speaks to anyone other than his own. He can be a little on the talkative side, when in the right mood and also surrounded by dragons willing to listen. But more often than not, he feels inferior to the prominent dragons around him … even those of his own color. He never mentions this insecurity to anyone, however. T'ron knows of it only by sharing the dragon's emotions. The only time he shakes off this depressed attitude, is when he's doing his level best to win a flight … then he goes all out to try and prove that he is worth something. Sebeth is a hard working dragon who really puts all that bulk to use. He is a real stayer in the air, and rarely ever gets tired out before drills are over … even most flights don't tire him out.
