Ah. The beach. A freshly bathed and oiled blue dragon lay along the sands His rider, that being Z'war, was sitting in the shadow of one wing, it being perhaps, if anything, *too* sunny.
Ack and Sharp, his two firelizards, flew around the dragon, and then started dipping into the water, looking for fish.
This was the life. It might be the last Turn of the Interval, but they could only practice so much. For now, Z'war appreciated the fact that he did not, yet, have to worry about Thread.
"All I need now is some human company."
Maybe he'd get lucky.

Also out enjoying the sun and the beach, Tehnel had managed to swipe a runner. It was haltered, and the reins were fastened to the halter. But she rode with no bit, and no saddle. It was how she preferred to ride. She was almost getting to the point where she could ride with no reins, either.
It was something she had been practicing back home. But having been Searched, she was having to start over again, in training with a different runner for the freedom of riding.
The runner was loosely trotting down the beach, the wind blowing Tehnel's loose hair back away from her face. She was totally happy thus: free to ride, out doors. And no pesty 'important' people to order her around.
At least ... that had been the plan. She slowed her runner to a walk when she saw the dragon on the beach. Oops. She knew dragons and runners didn't get along well, so she stopped her runner and tied him off. Once the beast was secure, she started walking along the beach, moving on up toward the dragon.
"Hello?" She called, pretty sure that the rider had to be around somewhere nearby. Maybe, in an informal setting, she could have a better interaction with the rider-folk?
Leaping down off the runner's rump, Spirit padded after his pet, unwilling to let her get out of his sight. Dragons and the like didn't bother the lanky feline a bit, and he walked right up to the dragon, pacing his pet. She was such a silly creature.

And'l slowly made his way down the beach. Or being pulled along was more like it. Gopeth was holding on to And'l's sleeve and was pulling him along down to the beach. Though at this point he was walking in step with the blue following it becuase he had not seen any people which would scare him off. Though when And'l saw the two other people one the beach he snatched his arm away form Gopeth. Gopeth just shook his head and moved around behind And'l and started to nudge him in the direction of the two people saying to him Your not going to go off and hide Mine. That would be just silly. You need to go talk to someone. I will be with you. The blue was very preseintent. And'l just sighed. He knew that there was no aguring with Gopeth. The blue would just keep trying. So he slowly walked toward the two people. Gopeth did not like that his was moving so slow and he walked up next to him and bit down into his shirt again and began to pull him along. So when the pair reached the rider and his dragon Gopeth let his bonded go and nudged him towrad the other. And'l just sighed and waved to the other " Hello." Emerald and Topaz appered form bettewen and flew down and landed on And'l's shoulders.

Z'war flickered the weyrling a grin. "Careful, don't tire your dragon out."
It was a good walk to the beach, after all, but he also hadn't missed the fact that the hatchling was dragging the rider. He'd seen that before with blue pairs. Blues tended to select shy people, and sometimes one ended up with the painfully shy rider who's dragon became determined to 'fix' them.
The other girl...a candidate, by her knot and by the way Kwerth fixed his eyes on her for a moment, got a wave.
For now, the older rider did not move. Ack and Sharp did, though, flitting first to And'l to chirp to his bronze and green, and then to Tehnel, investigating her. Neither was still for more than a moment.

Tehnel smiled at the flitters, and almost reached out to them. But she didn't actually try to touch either ... getting bitten was not on her agenda at all. Spirit paused in his walk, and looked up at the flitters for a moment, yellow eyes flashing. One could almost tell he was thinking about catching one, exactly.
Though the feline had to know just exactly what would happen if he did catch it ... he wouldn't be keeping it.
When one flew too close, the animal erupted off the groud in a flash, reaching with both front legs, claws flashing. He missed, and fell back to the ground, but he continued to watch the flitters, pacing in a circle to keep an eye on them. The grey feline just loved to play, was all it was ... catching flitters was a challenge, and one he couldn't ignore.
"Hi!" Tehnel said, stooping just long enough to scoop Spirit up into her arms, and finish crossing the distance to the dragon. "Terribly busy?" she asked, just in case, as she peeked under the wing at the rider.

When the other two flew past him Emerald immadilty took off and started to chase the other two. He wacthed the feline and once came close though not close egough the cat could cacth her. She was just teasing the cat. And'l though waved at the two flits when they passed him by though after that he fell slient. Though Gopeth was not having that and he nugded And'l toward the other man. His was going to talk even if Gopeth had to push his bonded on top of the other to make him speak. And'l though got the message becuase he knew what Gopeth would do. Or is was more he did not know and was worried that it would be more embressing. He siad to the other " Don't worry I am keeping a good eye on him. Though he was the one who drug me out here." Though And'l knew that that had been obvious.
He looked over at the girl who seemed to be a candidate and said to her " Hello" The though passed through And'l head that she looked kinda cute. Though of course Gopeth ponuced on this idea. The little blue walked over to where Tehnel was standing and looked at her for a second. Though he did nuzzled her to get her attention for a moment. And'l just covered his face in embressment. He was starting to blush really badly. Know that this was not going to go well. At least for him it wasn't. Though for Gopeth And'l was sure that things would go just the way the blue planned. At least to a extent.

Ack, that being Spirit's target, just popped between, coming out above Kwerth.
Z'war laughed. "That cat is totally silly. Chasing firelizards is a waste of time." He flickered And'l a grin. "Seen that before. Blues tend to choose shy people, and you aren't the first rider to be pushed to socialize by his dragon."
As Gopeth went and 'greeted' the candidate, he smiled inwardly. Maybe he was just being friendly, but Search sense could show up pretty early, and they were going to need search pairs.
"And I'm not busy at all. Company isn't a bad thing, either." Not that he was moving from under the wing. Then again, Kwerth was probably providing enough pleasant shade for three.

Tehnel smiled slightly. "How long have you been out here?" She asked, before being interrupted by the weyrling. She looked at the blue a moment, then sqeuaked as he nuzzled her. She stumbled back from him, before grabbing his snout with both hands. "Do you mind?!" she demanded, shaking his head and pushing the blue away from her. "Your person is over there, not over here!" Tehnel released the dragonet's face, and hopped over the sand quickly and gracefully toward the older blue. "Hey! Boy! Your dragon is molesting me!" she informed And'l, before slipping under the wing of the older blue.
"Is that normal?" She asked, of Z'war, eyeing the dragonet warily. As cute as baby dragons were, and as much as she might be fascinated in getting one, having someone else's just up and start sticking it's nose into her like that was a bit disconcerting. Especially after all she'd heard about dragons only seriously interacting with thier own.
Spirit paced around the young blue, and then bounded after his pet, making an 'ow?' sound as he went. Winding around her legs when she stopped, he moved on to inspect the reclining rider.
