Gold
Gold whers are the largest and are still queens, but are seldom called such. In general gold whers are used for one thing. Breeding. They are aggressive, especially when broody, and tend to be kept penned until they are ready to run, then released with selected males.
Golds' 'handlers' tend to be those with an interest in breeding whers.
Bronze
Bronze whers are the second largest and the biggest males. Bronzes are aggressive and hard to handle, but can generally be calmed down more readily than golds. Bronzes are generally used for breeding and sometimes for guard duty
Brown
Brown whers are solid, burly, loyal, and reliable. Holds generally prefer browns for watchwher duty, they handle the tedium of being chained in one spot better tha the other colors. Thus, browns seldom work with handlers.
Blue
Blue whers are small but stocky, and are the quietest and calmest of whers. Paradoxically, blues are generally the most valuable and worth the most marks. It is blues, primarily, that perform mining duty
Green
Green whers are the smallest, and tend to be flighty and airheaded. Greens are also used for mining duty, but blues are preferred, as greens are easier to handle and train.
