Name: T’nul
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Season: Spring
Sexuality: - Heterosexual (but potentially bi-curious? A blue came to him after all…)
Rank: Bluerider
Hair: Black
Eyes: Green
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 150 lbs.
Description:
While not very tall, T’nul possesses a rare trait on Pern – a pair of deep-set green eyes. Granted, it is a recessive gene after all, so it does have to pop up somewhere. His muscles are well-toned, complimenting his broad-shouldered build. He wears his wavy, soot-black hair neck-length, where the longest locks rest on his shoulders. His lips are full, but his nose is a bit large. Also, his hands are on the small side. He is usually well-groomed and wears clothing that fits him as best as possible, self-conscious of his small, almost effeminate hands.
History:
T’nul, born Tenul in Telgar Hold to a Journeyman Tanner and a hold girl, lived a content life with a handful of close friends, dreaming of growing up and leading adult lives. At the onset of puberty, it became clear he would be shorter than the others, and he was dismayed when he realized he was as tall as the majority of the women in the end. He had always pictured himself as growing up to be tall and imposing. This made him self-conscious, and he began trying to dress himself to flatter his physique, as well as muscle toning exercises to help with said physique. He was alienated from all of his former friends but one, and they were soon to be parted. He was Searched at the age of sixteen, and he failed to Impress - so close yet so far to the dream of many Pernese. Beginning to despair, Tenul Stood one last time two Turns later with trepidation on the Telgar sands. Almost as if sensing his plea (maybe he did!), blue Ashuith Impressed to 18-Turn-old T’nul. The new bluerider couldn’t have been more thrilled. After his Turn-and-a-half of Weyrling training, T’nul stayed at Telgar for eight more Turns. But he was growing worried about the state of things (and the plague had frightened him to no end! Throughout the incident he fretted and fretted over his beloved Ashuith, constantly worrying he would become ill.), and the stress was beginning to take a toll, thus adversely affecting Ashuith. Then, fate brought his remaining childhood friend back to him. He had taken up the life of a traveling merchant, and he told him the weather in Ista would be sure to do him – and thus his dragon – good, despite the growing panic of Threadfall. He knew Ista had plenty of plant life; more than the mountainous Telgar. They would most likely need dragons more than Telgar, anyway. He left for Ista to wait out the last Turn there, and aid them if need be (with permission of course).
Personality:
T’nul is polite, if a little greedy. He is also somewhat timid, and suspicious of strangers, though Ashuith usually can help him overcome this last. He is hardworking, and, if tasked with something, won’t give up until it’s done or Ashuith pleads with him, whichever it comes to first. He is very conscious of his appearance, and is always worrying about whatever perceived flaws others in the conversation might have. He is also a bit of a spendthrift - he can't seem to hang onto his money should he obtain it. This one Ashuith can't help him with, sadly, and the dragon even encourages it when he brings home anything suitably shiny.
Pets:
Shy, gold firelizard, age 0, hatched Spring
For Riders:
Dragon name: Ashuith
Dragon color: Blue
Dragon age: 10
Hatching season: Summer
Dragon description: Ashuith is a bright blue, with pale blue-green stippling down his back and sides, and a sky-blue underbelly, fading almost to white on the very bottom. The same blue-green that accents his hide proper is the full color of the membranes of his wings. He has a short, stocky frame, with a wide tail, muscular legs, and large wings.
Dragon personality: Ashuith is quirky and outgoing, as far as dragons go. He dotes on his rider, but is displeased when he stammers or withdraws, nudging him until he loosens up. He is easily-distracted, particularly by shiny things, and has a habit of randomly changing the subject mid-conversation with other dragons.
Other:
Notes: Am willing to change anything that doesn’t work.
Adoptable: Yes.
